About LadyVanilla

Trying to see beyond the world, through the lenses of my camera.

This blog is mainly dedicated to the pictures I capture and want to share with the world, especially you who is reading this. I will talk about my beliefs in chasing what you’re passionate about, and encourage my readers to do the same, so we can together live life to the fullest. With the pictures comes my experiences in life, and the adventures I will embark on. In the end isn’t a photograph the pause button in life?1111

This new hobby, is more than a hobby for me. Even though I’m not a professionel or have the amount of knowledge about the subject, I knew from the moment I held the first camera, I’m not going to let go. However, that was just the first step. To learn and require the skills is yet another mountain to climb. This time I’m ready

Another thing that came with my photography, is the idea of blogging. Writing from within is a a therapy for the mind and privilege, which is not easily found today. I will challenge myself to put my thoughts into words and express myself, in ways that will resonate with my readers.

Whenever someone asked me what my dream was or what I will be doing in 5 years, childish and immature I would answer being rich and live in Paris. It wasn’t my dream, let alone my goal, but it’s better than saying I don’t know. For the past few years, stress, guilt and depression has been haunting me whenever I think of my life. What is my plans? Where am I heading towards? Hopefully I would finally graduate, but from what? To become what? I’ve had a few setbacks in life, and picking up from where you’ve been left, is not easy. The latest setback in my life, was the hardest to overcome yet, but I’m pretty sure a few more is coming.

At the age of 23 I knew for the first time in my life what I’m passionate about, what my goal is, and I could sit and draw a plan of my life for the next 5 years. I’m on the other side of the fence, now the real work begins from here. At that moment I fully understood the quote:

“Working hard for something we don’t care about is called STRESS. Working hard for something we love is called PASSION.”
